Privacy Policy

Your home is your most private asset. We treat it that way.

Effective Date: March 1, 2026  |  privacy@askargo.com

Introduction

Argo is operated by 42gen Co. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what control you have. Upfront: we do not sell your data. Our business model is subscription software.

1. What We Collect

Information You Give Us

  • Account information: name, email address, password, billing information
  • Home and property data: address, property details, room information, improvement records
  • Content you upload: photos, videos, documents, receipts, and notes
  • Estate Mode content: video recordings, written notes, beneficiary information
  • Advisor sharing settings: which professionals you share your data with

Information Generated by Our AI

  • Home File records compiled from your inputs
  • AI-generated home valuations, equity estimates, and market analysis
  • Home Intelligence Reports compiled for advisor sharing

Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage data: features accessed, session duration
  • Device data: device type, operating system, browser
  • IP address and connection information
  • Session recordings (when enabled): replays of your in-app activity with on-screen text and your uploaded photos masked

When session recording is enabled, we use PostHog to capture replays of how you navigate the Argo app so we can diagnose issues and improve the product. These recordings use input and text masking: on-screen text is replaced with placeholders, and the photos, videos, and documents you upload are never captured. Recording is off by default and is active only in the environments and for the audiences where we have deliberately enabled it. You can turn off all product analytics and session recording in Settings → Data & Privacy. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, analytics is suppressed automatically. This data is processed in the European Union under PostHog’s Privacy Policy.

Information from Third Parties

  • Property data from licensed providers (home value estimates, neighborhood data, market trends)
  • Public records (property ownership, permit history, tax records)

2. AI Model Training: Your Choice

You control whether your data is used to improve Argo's AI. If you enable model training in Privacy Settings, your Content and interactions may be used to improve AI quality and accuracy. If you turn it off, your data will not be used to improve the model. The default for new users is Off. We ask for your preference before assuming it. You can change this setting at any time.

3. Advisor Sharing: What Your Advisors See

When you use Advisor Sharing, you choose what to share and with whom. Your Estate Mode recordings and beneficiary designations are NOT included in standard advisor shares; they require explicit, separate authorization. You can revoke advisor access at any time in account settings.

4. How We Share Your Information

  • We Do Not Sell Your Data: Argo does not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not participate in data broker programs.
  • Service Providers: We work with third-party providers for cloud storage, payment processing, and email delivery. They process your data only as we direct.
  • Your Chosen Advisors: Professionals you designate through Advisor Sharing receive access to the specific report elements you authorize.
  • Sponsor Organizations: If you access Argo through a sponsor organization, they may receive aggregate usage data. They do not receive your Content or personal account details unless you explicitly share your report.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law or to prevent imminent harm.

5. Data Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), role-based access controls, and regular security audits. Estate Mode recordings are stored with additional access restrictions.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and Home File for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days (or 5 years if model training is enabled). Contact privacy@askargo.com to request earlier deletion.

7. Your Rights

You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to receive a portable copy. Contact privacy@askargo.com.

8. Marketing Website Analytics & Cookies

This section covers cookies and tracking on the askargo.com marketing website, not the Argo app. The marketing site uses four third-party services and the first-party cookies described below. You can manage your preferences at any time via the “Privacy Choices” link in the site footer.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use GA4 to understand how visitors discover and navigate askargo.com. On pages where analytics consent has not been granted, GA4 operates in cookieless mode, so we only get aggregate pageview counts. No _ga cookie, no personal identifiers. When you grant analytics consent, GA4 sets a _ga cookie to enable session analysis and conversion measurement. GA4 data is processed by Google LLC under Google’s Privacy Policy.

Snitcher (company identification)

Across the askargo.com website, we use Snitcher to identify the companies that visit our site by reverse-matching IP addresses against business databases. Snitcher does not identify individuals. Company-level data is synced to Attio, our CRM. Snitcher is only active when analytics consent is granted.

Attio (CRM)

When you submit a contact, demo, or partner inquiry form on askargo.com, your name, email, and company are stored in Attio, our CRM. We also store attribution information (which marketing channel or partner referred you), so we can measure and improve how we reach potential partners. Attio is used only when functional consent is granted (or implicitly, as the form submission itself is a transactional action you initiate).

PostHog (product analytics)

Across the askargo.com website, we use PostHog to understand how visitors interact with the page so we can improve it. PostHog sets first-party cookies prefixed with ph_ and may record anonymized session replays and heatmaps of on-page activity. These recordings use input masking: form inputs and on-page text are masked, so personal information such as your email, name, or company is not captured. PostHog is only active when analytics consent is granted, and your data is processed in the European Union under PostHog’s Privacy Policy.
